Hi!

I recently got a car (Honda Civic LX 2003) and am looking to upgrade the stock speakers. What is the "best" way to decide on what speakers are for me?
Should I try and demo them at a Best Buy or Fry's?
Should I go off of amazon reviews?
Do you have any suggestions?

For budget I'm looking tops $150 for a pair but am flexible (I don't really know what to expect in car audio). And just to help clarify, I have a home theater setup already so I do have some experience looking for speakers.

I like using crutch field.com as a way of determining what fits in my car. Once you know that info, you can narrow down to within your budget.

At that point come up with some that catch your eye. You can look at the reviews or talk to car audio shops ( though keep in mind they may try to sell you something else.)

Probably out of budget but the new Aline type r speakers are under hung coils and use xbl to keep distortion down.
