Well I l'm glad that they have included a car audion section on this site!

I am looking for a wide-screen LCD that is touch capable. I believe I have 5.5" H x10.5 W and depth is not an issue. I woul dlike to put this in place of my factory radio, cup and coin holder.

If anyone is familiar with 1998-2004 Audi A6's, Then you will know the general idea of what I'm looking to do. Taking the factory radio and the cup holder, coin/wallet drawer & 4-way flasher button out would make a decent amount of room to mount a widescreen LCD.

I am thinking of building a PC with a micro ATX board with ~500gb-1TB of storage, DVD+-R/RW, GPS, USB & firewire access, etc. I'm not sure what OS I would like to run, but as long as it functions like a normal PC, I'll be thrilled!

Anyone have any suggestions here?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Lilliput and Xenarc both make a standard DIN sized motorized flip out 7" touch LCD. Just stash the PC somewhere else and you're home free :)

I personally use a Lilliput 629 7" touch LCD. Overall, it's been pretty reliable. I molded it into my radio bezel and had a few things that needed adjustment afterwards, but it works great. Very clear and the touch is very accurate.
