I am considering buying Nuvi 650 or TomTom XL and extra maps for Europe for my trip.

Can I install a map from one DVD on multiple GPS units (SD cards I suppose), or with some type of sctivation key must I activate it to the one specific GPS unit?

If, after my trip to Europe, I decide to sell the DVD with European maps, would another person be able to use it?

Well - I cant imagine the DVD knows if you ever installed it on anything else but there might be some authentification required where the GPS unit communicates with the satellites and tells them a unique ID on that unit and the unique ID installed from the DVD and then disallows it if its been installed elsewhere.

HOWEVER I am nearly certain all the GPS satellites are owned by the government and not by the companies that make the GPS units so a company like Garmin wouldnt have access to those satallites data I dont think.
