Found an Aiptek pocket DVR at a thrift store for all of $1.91. It looks like one of those Instamatic cameras, the employee probably priced it accordingly.
Everything on it works, the battery still holds a long charge(1Hr, 40Min), and it has a good 1GB SD card in it. While obsolete, it's still cool to have the "AV In" on a mobile device.
The file it creates is Microsoft ISO MPEG 4, V1.1, in D-1 quality. It has an .asf extension. The playback looks pretty faithful even on large screen, but I don't have an original disk, and Aiptek's web site lacks software support for this unit. Any suggestions on the best conversion software for making the DVDs? Thanks.
