It is the studio. It is not the camera or an editing technique. There are at least three cameras.
If you look at the hair, hands or eyes it is abundantly obvious that it is not HD quality.
What I think I see is a simple set with good lighting. The books, bookcase, chairs and suits have little detail to capture. The light strengthens those broad patches of detail weak color giving an illusion of sharpness.

For sound, they had mics clipped to them and the studio is probably constructed so as to not have external sound interruptions nor echo.
