Look at how this video has an amazing high definition look to it when viewed at only 360p: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7eMlzfWTcc Heck, it even looks decent when viewed at 240p !!!!

Anyone know what secrets videographers know that enable them get footage looking and sounding so good at only 360p? Does it take a $5,000+ camera or camcorder? Or some clever video editing trick or export setting?

It is the studio. It is not the camera or an editing technique. There are at least three cameras.

If you look at the hair, hands or eyes it is abundantly obvious that it is not HD quality.

What I think I see is a simple set with good lighting. The books, bookcase, chairs and suits have little detail to capture. The light strengthens those broad patches of detail weak color giving an illusion of sharpness.

Search for some articles our YouTubes on "studio lighting"

For sound, they had mics clipped to them and the studio is probably constructed so as to not have external sound interruptions nor echo.
