Howdy! i will be traveling to Paris and Spain in March and want to get a new camcorder, i currently have a Cannon 60D, a Kodak ZX5 playsport, and a Panasonic Lumic camera, but no true dedicated Camcorder, over doing some reviews and research i have kinda fallen in love with the Panasonic HDC-SD90 but can't ever find it anywhere or at a decent price. Do any of you have any suggestions of a Camcorder very close to the SD-90? also i keep seeing a SD90K are these the same thing as a SD90?

The SD90 was sort of replaced by the V700 which has now been sort of replaced by the V720.

If you want an older and better one then you need to look for the SD600.

I don't know the lens you have now, but you can get lenses with image stabilization (or better than you have now) to make it more like a camcorder. If hand-held, make sure you don't do any fast or jerky motions/always hold steady and, if panning at all; pan slowly.

Some of these newer camcorders are really small and light, but if you don't care about weight, the image quality will be comparable or even better from your DSLR.

edit: You might also consider something like the LX7:
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-LX7K-Digital-Intelligent-3-0-inch/dp/B008MB719C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361400069&sr=8-1&keywords=lx7

Small, light and shoots excellent 60p (60 progressive frames) video. Kind of like a mini DSLR without the detachable lens.
Also shoots 10 megapixel photos.

As a former owner of both a Canon T3i (virtual twin of the 60D) and a SD90, I'd suggest you use your 60D for video. The 60D produces brighter, more vividly colorful video than the comparatively bland look of Panasonic camcorder video. However, the SD90 does have good image stabilization and a terrific zoom capability if that is more important to you than overall image brightness and real world looking colors.
