combing - no deinterlacing occurred (actually, since you watch it on a progressive-scan TV, deinterlacing did take place, only incorrect one, bunching two fields into one progressive frame, this is sometimes called "weave" mode)
blurring - same as above, and downscaled, so that individual field lines smashed vertically and combing now looks like ghosting.
Your TV is progressive-scan, so some deinterlacing MUST happen. It might accept 1080i only as input (which I doubt, although I haven't checked your model, older models did not accept 1080p), bit it will deinterlace it anyway for display.
