Do these take the same batteries and is it worth selling the xa10 for the xa20 or HF G30or even a Panasonic 920

Hi Terry - The BP-808s from your XA10 will fit the £1299 HF G30 (which comes with the larger capacity BP-820).

I'm assuming you're in the UK? The only reason to sell your XA10, in my view, would be for 1080/50p - but I wouldn't want to give up the XA10's XLR mic inputs to get it. If you're considering the Panasonic X920, you might want to look at the £1649 Panasonic AG-AC90. Available now - with pro mic inputs, 1080/50p, and very good low light performance.

Here is how the AC90, XA10, HF G30 and X920/X929 compare on slashcam: http://camcorder-test.slashcam.com/compare-838dce54020e5940db948233dbe408da.html. Sadly, they have not tested the XA20 yet.

Hope this is helpful,

Bill
