As the thread title says, can anyone tell me why my new Canon HF-G30s footage edited and burnt to blu ray disc using Magix pro software plays the blu rays on my blu ray players, one an old PS3 and my Panasonic blu ray player,i was under the impression 50P was not blu ray compatable,i am refering to editing the raw files and not making a file first then burning a Blu Ray.

Depends on specific Blu-ray. But you cannot rely on it for distribution.

MultiAVCHD(free tool) will author non compliant 1080 50/60P Blu-ray or AVCHD discs with Menus & Chapters.
Output can be burned with ImgBurn(free tool) to DVD R/RW or BD-R/RE discs for playback in AVCHD-ready players.
The BD and AVCHD Media plays without any problems on my Sony PS3 and Samsung BD-C6900.

Are you sure that Magix retains all the input media properties without re-encoding or degrading.
