Looks like many new cameras coming in the next few weeks.
Quote:
Lots of good inputs and outputs on the side of the camera include USB 3.0, an audio mic input, a PC output for wired flash triggering and HDMI output. The headphone jack explains the extra bump on the front of the camera – a nice touch for those looking to use the K-3 as a HDSLR.

LOL those guys are freaking crazy. They are talking about 8-bit h264, 14-bit h264, MOV, m-JPEG, 1080p, 4k etc etc

I dont think that pentax has interest in fighting that hard for video users. Its not their business.

I think Sony will have something more interesting.
Quote:
Sony will launch their first Full Frame E-mount photocameras on October 16. And it looks like Sony’s goal was to price the new cameras as low as it gets! Here are some info:

The A7 has 24Mp and on sensor PDAF. It has a built-in EVF (middle of the camera) and is weather sealed. Price should be around 1600-17000 Euro/Dollars for the body and close to 2000 Euro/dollars with the 28-70mm FE kit lens.

The A7r has a 36MP sensor. Like the A7 it has a built-in EVF (middle of the camera) and is weather sealed. price is around 2,300-2,400 Euro/Dollars for the body. No info on the kit price.

The A7 and the A7r have exactly the same look but a different sensor. All current E-mount lenses will work in crop mode on these cameras. The new Full Frame E-mount lenses coming along the camera are the 24-70mm Zeiss (not sure about the aperture but it could be f/2.8), 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5, 35mm f/2.8 Zeiss and a 55mm f/1.8 Zeiss.

The A7 uses a 24 megapixel sensor with on sensor PDAF. It has an Anti Aliasing filter. This camera is more suited for sport or video recording

Ricoh's Pentax K-3 is the first DSLR that allows you to totally disengage its low-pass filtering - letting you choose between maximum detail and moire suppression.

If you wanted to shoot the maximum 4K HDR movie interval timelapse you could shoot for 99 hours @ one frame every 2 seconds that will amount to 178,200 frames that would give you a 49min 30 sec 4K HDR timelapse @60FPS.
