Touch Screen : YES.
Battery : Lithium Ion - 3.6v 1.840 mAh (84 Mins)

JVC Everio GZ-V500 Specs - $249.99
Sensor : 3,320,000 Pixels (1/4.1" BSI CMOS)
Lens : 32.8 mm to 594.5 (Dynamic Zoom : ON)

So, which one is best? I know about the specs. I understand them.

I plan on buying the Canon from B&H Photo & Video. Click Here.

I plan on buying the JVC from QVC. Click Here.

Official : JVC Everio GZ-V500 Page. Click Here.

I would like to know if the JVC Everio GZ-V500 Records at 60p (60 FPS) ?

Welcome to the forum.

You may not get much response here with those two cameras. The active participants here tend to be interested in more expensive equipment. So, I doubt anyone will have any experience or personal knowledge about those two.

Good luck in your search!

The M500 would be the best deal, but they are out of stock. That's why I suggested the M50

Ok, so I've talked to B&H Photo Video, Talked to JVC, Talked to Crutchfield, they all say it can record at 1080p/60p. The specs are better sligthly then the sold out Canon Vixia HF R400.  So.. Why on the entire internet, why isn't anyone reviewing it? Why isn't there hardly any ratings or videos on YouTube? Even on QVC, there's no rating for the JVC. It's like it's infected or something.

It's got a bigger sensor then the Canon @ 1/4.1" BSI CMOS, it's got bigger Aperture f/1.2 - f/5.6, & it's effective pixels is 3.3MP CMOS sensor, where the canon is only a 3.2MP CMOS sensor.

I also did a little more research. Found out that JVC merged with Kenwood, back in March 2010.

"On Monday, May 31, 2010 JVC Kenwood announced that it would end camcorder production in Japan by March 2010

and shift production overseas to cut losses". ( Wiki Page ).

The JVC Everio GZ-V500 was released at around that time, in 2010. Was also announced at Consumer Electronics Show of 2010.

At CES 2010, they talked about the v/vx series Camcorders, the only difference besides a bigger sensor, is the WiFi ability. I could care less about WiFi. I'll take the damn card out, put it in my 2nd Gen. Core i7 Laptop, Drag & Drop, UPLOAD. If I wanted to get a WiFi enabled Camcorder, I'd get the Panasonic v520. which is cheaper then most Sony or Canon Camcorders.

You know your really coming across real strong . You might calm down some and maybe you will get more replies . This forum is not known for a lot of quick replies . They work a lot off attitude . Since you seem to have done a lot of phone calling and searching and asking questions you project yourself to already know everything so therefore no one will reply cause they might see it as useless . Just remember this , camcorders that have Wi-Fi , you cannot remove it from the camcorder and put it in a Laptop . That's ridiculous ! If you don't want Wi-Fi then just dont' buy a camera with Wi-Fi . Besides it doesn't work unless you activate it , so calm down and be patient .

Sorry.

I'm sorry I come off strong. I kinda figured that, but just wanted to be myself.

But you do realize that if the Camcorder has WiFi, that it's more expensive? It's basically the same Camcorder but with WiFi.

Umm...

"Just remember this , camcorders that have Wi-Fi , you cannot remove it from the camcorder and put it in a Laptop . That's ridiculous ! If you don't want Wi-Fi then just dont' buy a camera with Wi-Fi "

I know that Ronlhodges.

I can't remove the WiFi and Remove it..??  LOL !!! I can't believe you said that.. That's some funny stuff.

I was talking about the SanDisk SDHC or SanDisk SDXC Memory card, drag and drop the MTS or MP4 video file off & onto your computer. Then open YouTube, click the Upload button at the top of the page, Drag & Drop the Video file or open it threw YouTube, and Upload the MTS or MP4 file. Yes, YouTube supports MTS "AVCHD".

Roy,

You won't get far here asking about opinions on the cheapest equipment you can buy.

Good luck getting any meaningful response.

Ask well thought out, specific questions and you will get help.
