Nice to see you are back to practical reality from the Sony FS700R. Without being too detailed or technical the footage is wonderful!

The A6500 with the 16-50 appears to me to be a very appropriate kit for travel. Even with that lens with the 55-210 the price is not totally objectionable. Too bad I don't need/want a camera right now!!

I forget what lenses you like/have/plan to get. Can you refresh my memory?

My favorite lens for the A6500 is the Sony PZ F4 18-105mm. It is a power zoom (multispeed), parfocal ,and constant aperture, and a 'G' lens, so high quality. But it is surprisingly not expensive by Sony standards and not large (it was for a while the kit lens for the FS5). And the zoom is internal, no big jutting out when shooting long. Good in low light and a good range for lots of shooting situations. For very low light, the Sony E 50mm f1.8 (or 25mm f1.8, which I do not have) is excellent and cheap.

Thanks for the reply. I can see the appeal. It looks like it could be a little awkward for travel but would be fun to try/use. With body it would be about $2K. Not bad, considering the other choices like the GH5.

For now, 4K shooting at lower entry prices include the GX85 and GX850. There is also the RX10, FZ2500, LX100, FZ100 and RX100.

In a perfect world, I would buy them all!
