I used my DVD camcorder to film a trip I had previously, and now I want to back up the DVDs I used to record the trip on my hard drive as well as make copies of them, sadly I do not know how to do so. Suggestions?

BTW, I used DVD-R minidiscs to record the footage.

I would probably go with Nero Burning Rom:

Nero Burning Rom

They do have trial versions, so you can test them before you buy. I use this to do cd copies or dvd copies.

Actually, I read more into the question, and see you want to copy it to the hard drive. There is free software called DVD Shrink which will do that. It could also burn to a dvd drive, but at that point, it usually likes to work with Nero.

you don't even need DVDShrink to do that.

1. plop your DVD-R to your PC drive
2. click "explore"
3. just click and drag the VIDEO_TS folder to whichever HDD location you want.

to do mini DVD-R to DVD-R copy, use any disc burning software (such as Nero 7) and click "CopyDVD". If you need a disc burning software, just PM me.
