Who knew the Crestron module for a Vista 128BP was so limited!!!??!

Installed a 90-zone 128BP with 2 partitions. Can't even look at the 2nd partition, and there's no code string for even bypassing zones!!

We're going to have to swap out the board for a 128 F! BP... which in addition to being rated for commercial fire, suddenly gives you FULL control of the panel and keypad emulation!! WTF???

Does anyone know if you can dump a program from a BP into an FBP, or am I going to have to program this monster from scratch?

Chris

Use a GE panel, it will make your life much easier.

Of course it would, but I'm not uninstalling and replacing that entire bus of modules and expanders. Just the programming is enough headache. I'm just going to swap out the CPU. Mr. SoAndSo really likes his talking Ademco system too. [rolls eyes].

It's not the Creston module, it's the 128 bp. It won't let any system control anything but the first partition.

Yes, that is the truth of it. I was amazed to find this out --- panels are almost the same, BP vs. FBP.

I was wondering if the shells of the two programs are the same, so I don't have to start over on Friday morning.

If you have to start over, start over with a GE panel. You will still have major issues with the other 128 panel. You will ultimately save time and possibly unbillable hours by doing this. If you can bill for all of your time, then have at it, but i\\I would guess that your customer isn't going to be happy paying for all the extra time because someone specced the wrong panel to begin wth. Anyway, good luck with the project.

Pull the Vista, I speak from experience here. We did a job for a guy who had ADT do the security. It was a corporate thing. This was a very large Crestron job and everything was running great except for the Vista. We fought with that POS and ADT for days on end.

We demanded that ADT use the GE panel and we were golden the day of the replacement. And have been for over a year now on that particular job, as well as a dozen others...
