Keep seeing comments that prodigy is better programmed in simpl. What's the advantage over just using the wizard? Is the pmc3 interface decent looking?

Thanks

Customizability and expandability. No it isn't.

Appreciate the reply. I should have qualified my question better.

My system will be based on a PMC3XP with 4 x rooms audio, 4 x rooms HD video (via prodigy HD matrix), 2 x rooms lighting and 1 room shade control. I probably wont expand beyond this apart from maybe adding more lighting control. I will have one touch panel, PLX3's at each TV and 1 or 2 Ipads running Mobile Pro G.

1- I take it the interface on the PLX3's is standardized
2- I thought the 3 series GUI was based on the below as standard? Looks ok to me as I don't think I would actually need customization

If I did get it programmed by a CAIP, how many days work do you think (roughly) is in the above?

Its very difficult to get info on this side of things especially as my dealer hasnt installed Prodigy before (does full line Crestron, Lutron, and various others), so wanted to get another point of view on it. (there arent any other reputable dealers nearby)

Thanks

You may want to have another talk with your dealer on this proposal - I think Crestron has changed some things with respect to its Prodigy lineup, such as not offering the Prodigy HD matrix and discontinuing the PMC3XP. I could be wrong, but some threads on another forum have indicated this change. Blowne30M3 probably knows and can elaborate more, but you may have an out of date proposal that you need to address first before you get into your other questions.

I'm told that they are still going to supply the pmc3xp (which is the same hardware as the mc3) although at some point in future it will be discontinued. I'm also told the 6x4 matrix will still be released.

If anyone knows otherwise I'd appreciate it if the filled me in.

Decided to go for an mc3 based system.

Equivalent Amp and hd matrix aren't going to be out until new year though
