If someone already has a Control4 system, what kind of price difference would they be looking at to add lighting control from Control4 vs Vantage Infusion? I'm assuming Control4 would make more sense price wise since all you have to do is add the Control4 dimmers. How much more is it for Vantage Infusion? Would it cost say double the price? Does anyone know what msrp is for the Vantage Infusion Processor?

Thanks.

Call a Vantage dealer.

AVS member WestcoJack is a Vantage dealer, and he's based in LA.

Read through his posts, and call him for a quote. Seems like a great guy to do business with, honestly.

I think his company name is Westco, if you want to see some of his work online.

I'm also a vantage dealer located in Oregon. If you let me know what parts/pieces you are looking for, I can send you msrp. By the sounds of it, this is a retrofit, not new construction?

Hey guys, sorry I should have mentioned, I'm actually an AV installer and trying to see whether Vantage pricing fits in my customer's budget. I believe Vantage has a buy in, so I'm trying to find out what their systems costs before making the investment.

I know westcojack does sub work for many CIs. You might want to have a talk with him, and avoid the 'buy in'.

What is your guys opinion of Vantage in regards to av control? I know the lighting is great but is the av control4 as good as control4 or even crestron? Thanks.

I have only used Vantage in one system with A/V control. They should stick to lighting IMHO which they are very good at doing. Control4 works well when you stay within the sandbox they have created, not a bad thing, just something to be cognizant about. Neither have the flexibility of Crestron though.

While at Control4 training recently the guys said Control4 could do 90% of what Crestron could do. Remember Crestron can do 100% of what Crestron can do. And you pay the premium for this.
