Hey guys,
i try the control my panasonic video projector with an adtec signedje player using rs 232 and it will not work.
i tried it before with a sharp player and everything worked fine.

Here is a little description;:
I use following Connection :

MACOSX
Ethernet ========== ADTEC [com2 (RS 232)]
BEAMER

I checked already all the connection, cables ... everything looks fine and if i connect one PC to another PC i get the Signals crystal clear throught to wire.

I although can control the Beamer, if i using the RS232 directly from PC to the Beamer.

NOW i want to create a .dvc file wich start the projector ....

For the Sharp Player the Manual says :

If a using the MAC OSX Terminal and Use

1. telnet
2. open IP-Adress
3. than the login for the adtec player

4. im changing the com2 baudrate etc. to BAUD 9600 8 1 NONE

and than i type
PORT2 POWR[32][32][32]0[13]
?

OK

everything works fine with the SHARP Videoprojektor...

BUT I want to do this exactly with the Panasonic Projector...

The instruction to start the Panasonic projector is

PON

This code worked before if i connect the PC directly.

The HEX command for this is 02 50 4F 4E 03

But the manual of the Adtec Player says that you have to put ASCII commands .

I have tried the following commands :

port2 STX[32]PON[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]:[0][32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]:[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]:[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]:[0][32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STX[32]PON[32]:[32]ETX[13]
?

OK

port2 STXPONETX[13]
?

OK

port2 [32]PON[32][13]
ERROR-Bad Arguments

?

port2 STX[32]P[32]O[32]N[32]EXT
?

OK

Nothing happened ....

My Idea is that maybe the Adtec player cannot handle the Hex and Ascii Codes together.
Or do i write something wrong in the command ???
Although i got the idea that Adtec is using although Hex codes but they putting them in to a square bracket:

something like this : [02] PON [03][13]

Im running out of words and it really ****s me up that im working on this now for 2 days without success.
I hope someone has experiences with that or solved the same problem before.

I would really really appreciate it someone would have any information for me.

cheers
