All,

I am doing my research on automating lighting, thermostat control and AV equipment for my currently being built Home Theater. Ive gotten quotes for Control4, URC and RTI but all appear to not let me control customizing things later without hiring an integrator. I'm a tinkerer and really want to change my HT setup regularly with new gear / macros.

Below is a diagram of what I think an Insteon solution would look like. It seems VERY expensive for the functionality I am looking for. Im also not sure it is even what I would actually need. Any advice?

You were looking at Control4, URC and RTI and Insteon seems very expensive?

You could probably eliminate the ISY, 2411Ts, and keypadlinc and use the Harmony for all your macros/scenes by adding a 2411R but I'm not sure if you can get the 5 minute delay you want with the Harmony.
