I'm going to start the pre-wire for the new flatscreen in the back room. I will be controlling the Samsung via EX-link which is RS-232 but uses a 1/8th stereo jack instead of a DB-9. My first thought was to buy a 50' stereo extension cable. Plug the male end into the TV, cut the other end off and install a DB-9 connector for the processor end. Then I got thinking about the length and that skinny little wire, wondering if I should run something a bit more robust and put the 1/8th stereo jack on the TV end. Thoughts.

Current owner of the last/best AmPro on the planet. The mighty 4600HD, and it's still running...better than Barco's, especially southern ones.
