I've been told that IP camera's can be quite flaky in cold weather. Just wondering if anyone out there (either integrator or customer) has experience with IP camera's being used in up to -30c weather. I'm an integrator that installs primarily HAI automation systems and I've been using their analog camera server so far. I would imagine IP camera's to be a better solution for my clients looking for 1080p quality resolution.
I have 3 outdoor cameras for my home security system. Foscam FI8904W, Wansview NCH532MW,Gigaeye GB170,It seems that they all survived in the hurricane and extreme cold. The cheapest one is Gigaeye GB170,only $79.99 on Amazon.
