The base of a Vantage system is the controller. This controller will control there video matrix and whole house audio. You have the brains behind the lighting system that will do everything else you want ,why not go with a complete Vantage system? The equinox displays are amazing at a small cost. Every interface is the same look. Great for the wife and guest. only one interface to learn. I am a Vantage dealer and would love to answer any ?s you have. Give me a call.. Marc 714 642 1893

I think thats a good choice.
Vantage has very nice keypads, up to 48 loads per enclosure (integral fuses per each circuit feed), a very powerfull controller, and a 2 wire station bus for all stations.
The programming can do very powerful things, integrate with almost any system, and if you choose you can use Vantage components to also control temperature, audio, video and shades.
The most important thing by far is to make sure your installer/programmer is one of the top performers. They must make the system so easy to use, that you do not even need directions to use.
True of any system you use, if it is not intuitive and easy to use you will be sorry you installed it.
A good idea would be to call 2 of the integrators customers and ask them how easy is the system to use, does it do what you expected it to do, and was the integrator easy to work with and knowledgable.
You can PM me with any questions.

PM = personal message

hover the cursor over the name, select Send PM
