Hi I noticed you all don't have a noobs section but I am buying a new home and really wanting to automate everything with a sense of security. And I need some advice and someone tell me if I can or can't do what I want. Also recommended products to try or what others have used.

So currently my list of requirements that I see me needing at the start.

- LED Wireless Lights.
- Recessed wireless lights? For Kitchen I have been googling and I can't seem to find any.
- Two Door Sensors(window sensors in the future) wireless?
- 4 Motion Sensors
- 2 Outdoor Cameras with motion sensors
- 2 Indoor Cameras with motion sensors
- Nest 2.0
- 4 LED Rope Lights or sometype of Colored LED Lights and I will explain
- Garage Opener
- Wireless Door Lock

So my idea is to have a TV in the bedroom so that my wife can see everything at all times. The LED rope lights I want to put behind the television each a different color. What I would like is each color to represent an action happening for instance if the motion sensor goes off at a certain time upstairs then the blue light would come on. If a red light comes on that means the front door or back door has been opened. Green light for garage and Yellow light for garage, something like that effect. The reason for this is my wife is somewhat techy but if I am away for work it is all very simple. Also give her the ability to turn the TV on in the bedroom and see all the cameras.

I would also like the ability to set up profiles that I can click from outside my home.

Is all this possible?

What do you all recommend.

I plan on doing blinds and home theater stuff later. This is just the start

Anything is possible if your budgets large enough. Nest is not an integrator friendly company. They won't allow integration with any of the home automation brands.
