Looking for cheap, single source, remote extender

I'm just looking for an easy to way to get a signal to a single cable box, on the other side of a wall (where I've hidden it). From the placement of the receiver to the cable box is about 6'.

Will this do?: http://www.amazon.com/Infrared-Exten...te+transmitter

I'm just worried I'm not getting all the "hardware" and will have to buy additional stuff to get it to work.

Or...is there something I can plug directly into the cable box (instead of sticking a pad to the front of the remote receiver) to help facilitate this?

Can't vouch for the quality of that kit, but it's got everything you need if the wire is long enough.

Monoprice has a nice kit for <$20 that may be a better choice.

I can vouch for the Monoprice IR Extender Jeff referenced. I have (3) of them in my house, (2) with 50' 3.5mm extensions and the 3rd with a 75' extension, and they work fantastically with my U-Verse receivers.
