I currently have an in-pool light that is controlled via an outdoor switch mounted near all the pool equipment. If i wanted to replace that with a lutron caseta dimmer, would I be able to control this from indoors via a Pico remote? Its near the house, and thinking this might be the easiest solution to avoid having to walk out and back every time we need to hit the switch.
Unless you live in very mild climate, Caseta dimmers are not rated for outdoors temperatures. You should mount it inside the house and run wire from there.
It looks like for the time being i'm going to be stuck with the outdoor switch. Anyone have a suggestion for a 3rd-party enclosures to house a caseta pro switch that will meet current specified operating environments (freezing it seems)? plan to mount a pico inside the house. thanks for the help!
Mount it in an outside box and let it roll.. what's the worst that could happen, you lose a switch? I bet it will survive just fine.
