I have a Logitech 1000 remote and I want to control the 2 floor standing lamps in my living room. Is there a device I can plug these lights into that will accept IR commands for on/off and dimming pre sets?

I know control 4 offers such a item ( only works with the control 4 system obviously)

Anyone know of susch a device?

X10 is an option.

You would need one of these:

Infrared X10 Command Console IR-543

and some of these:

X10 Lamp Module

The Harmony 1000 has very limited support for Z-Wave devices. You might want to look at what it can or can't do - maybe it will suit your needs.
