Seriously. It seems like just about everywhere in North America has plenty 60GB in stock with no bundle requirements these days.

However, Wii could really use a Wii Purchase Chat Forum.

I think it's due to be closed.

My Walmart has them, and I didn't bother to start a thread about it.

I think the PS3 forum could use a dedicated "PS3 as Media Center" sub-fourm though.

Agreed! On Saturday I seen two in Toys R Us and three in Walmart in my area.

I second the Wii Purchase Chat Forum.

Yep, I saw two 60 GB in the East Greenbush NY Walmart Sunday afternoon. I think we know where to purchase them now.

Yeah! Sony has been replenish the supply very well. Circuit City is no longer has poster sign saying "Playstation 3 is temporary sold out". Their online store even lists an in-store pickup as well.

The Walmart in Clifton Park (Halfmoon) had a few 60GB's on Sunday. Still can't find a Wii though.

Agreed. We need a Wii purchase forum. PS3's are available almost everywhere in Western CT.

they are on egay for under retail. Even the 60g if you look. I saw a few go for $600 or less and $20 shipping that is less then retail with sales tax around here.

Since the weekend of Xmas I've never once walked into a department store and not seen either PS3 in stock.

Wiis, on the other hand, I've never once seen for sale anywhere I've looked since I picked mine up on launch day. A friend of mine pocketed $150 this week from ebay for one.

I think at this point, the PS3 has reached a level of teneous general availablity. They aren't stacked all over the place like 360s are, but everyone here could probably go out today or tomorrow and find a 60GB model on a shelf somewhere easily.

I'm very surprised Sony was able to get them on the shelves so quickly. Last year the 360 took until around April to have any general availability.

I think this forum should be closed and I do agree that the Wii needs a purchase forum. Those units remain near-impossible to get.

Can we get someone to delete this subforum yet? Pretty sure no one is wondering if they can buy a PS3 nowadays.

I thought it was kind of interesting - I'm actually considering the PS3 after getting an XBox 360 two years ago... the best last-generation tech can be had for somewhat cheap.

I had no idea the units were still on Amazon by third-party sellers, though there's no guarantee they are sound units or honest sellers...

10 years later.... You could argue there's a stronger need for this page now.
