Specifically from amazon. I am about to purchase a tv (LN40a550) from amazon and I was just wondering about a few things.

1.) Do they require a person to be at the house when the TV arrives?

(I ask this because I really don't want them just dropping it on the door step for anyone to take.)

2.) How long does it usually take for it to arrive?

(Using the standard "free shipping" process)

3.) How is amazon's return policy?

(In case something is wrong with the TV)

Well, that's it. If there are any other things you think I should know feel free to tell me.

1. Yes, you need to be at home (or at least somebody) because you have to sign for it. However, CEVA will call you ahead of time to set up a date & time.

2. It depends where you live and where it's shipped. I would say on an average, about 5 days. After your order has gone through, they would give you an estimate date. That date is real conservative so you should get your tv much sooner than that if it is in stock.

3. If there is something wrong with it (within 30 days), call amazon and they will ship another one to you while picking up the old one.

Yes you can but you have to pay for restocking fee and shipping cost.

Cool. Thanks for the answers guys. I was a little worried about purchasing such an expensive electronic online, but the deals are so much better than in-store, so I think I'm going for it.

I am facing the same dilimena.

There are two separate LCD models I am looking at, one from Amazon, and one from Buydig.com.

Does anyone here have any experience with Buydig as it pertains to LCD TV purchases? Thanks!

All I can say is buydig will not take back your tv if there is something wrong with it. Once you except it during delivery, you have to take it up with Samsung if there is something wrong with it. Unless you save a boat load of money, I would go with amazon.

I have purchased three HDTV's from Buydig. I can't say good enough things about them. They double pack the TV. Free shipping and the best price. If it's 32" it's shipped via FEDEX (I received both 32" TV's in 36 hours from NJ to MD. If its 40" or bigger they have a shipper. I got my 46" TV in six days.

Now here is the glitch. If it's not broken you can't return it. Well you can but they charge return shipping and a 15% restocking fee.

I new I wanted the TV's and returning them was not an issue.
