Acer apparently has a new TN pannel monitor out, the P243WAid model. I can't seem to find any reliable reviews on it, I'm guessing because it's so new. However, it has about 230 reviews on NewEgg, 79% of which are 5star rating, making it the most well reviewed 24" monitor on the site.
These Acer panels use "Adaptive Contrast Management" or ACM, which is basically their Dynamic Contrast. No idea if it's any better or worse than normal Dynamic Contrast.
I'm looking to upgrade my aging Samsung 215TW 21" and this Acer seems to be a good choice. Espcially since it has HDMI as well, which will be good for my XBox360.
