The D65U's should presently be replacing the D64's of last year.
The SE94's were announced at CES 08 and debuted in January 2008 and will most likely following the higher end trend for the Special Series. Sharp will announce the SE94's replacement at CES2009 in Vegas - early January.
Presently waiting for their new xs1 RGB LED Panels which will be top of the line but quite a bit more expensive than the rest of the Line. Supposed to debut in October. Could be the reason the D64 65" is not carrying over to the D65 series - perhaps they are converting it's glass to RGB LED down in Mexico.
Sharp is carrying so many damn lines with often insignificant differences that it can create much confusion. They seem to be regressing to what they were before dominating LCD, a budget level off the Shelf TV as they continue to get passed by Samsung/Sony and others.
I expect their LED Line to be awesome (as may be it's price) and they have bragging rights to the most cost friendly 65" panel but outside that I see minor advances while it's competition leapfrog's Sharp.
