Hello folks. I'm in the market for a new TV and I'm looking at 37" LCD TVs.

Money is no object. I just want the best one available. I will be gaming (Xbox 360) and watching Blu-ray and HD DVDs (on a BH200). I won't be watching any TV (just movies and games) and I could care less about the built-in sound.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Samsung UN46F8000 • Onkyo TX-NR727 • Onkyo 7.1 Speakers • Xbox One • Wii U

A Sony 40" XBR6 or 40" 750 Samsung as I'd ignore the 37" and below since they never bring the full complement of features to Qualify as BEST (not even the XBR in 32" and 37" brings the whole package)- it all starts at 40">.

Competition that is fierce with LOW profit margins in the 32"-37" sizes limit the features the larger panels bring with more HT Sizing and prices.

Samsung 65F8000, 60D8000, 40HU6350, Panasonic 50E60 LCD's

Okay, thanks for that tip. But I am specifically looking for 37". Any recommendations in that size?

I would look at the Panasonic 37 in. They are really nice looking sets.

Hitachi UT37X902 or UT37V702.

The paper specs defeat any model at this size class and if you have a Best Buy Magnolia in your area, you can go see for yourself. It uses the exact same processing as Hitachi's highly regarded plasma models. You can also get a huge discount from one of the forum sponsors.

There are several shortcomings in that it has only one HDMI port and no TV tuner though I guess, from your OP, these aren't issues for you.

Here's a review for the European version. The 37" and up LCDs in Hitachi's thin range share the exact same specifications and features sans screen size so the picture they praise is going to be the same you'd get in the 37 inch.
