Hello all,

I am trying to connect my HP laptop to my vizio via vga/rgb, but TV does not seem to read any signal at all. S-video works fine. I tried both extending the desktop and using it as an alternate display with no luck, the video card has dual monitor support. I set the resolution to 640x480 /30 for both displays.

The vga cable is new, though I can easily run out and get another one, and I have an old desktop monitor I can try to use to test the PC's VGA out but I want to know if there is any way to check if there may be a problem with RGB input on the tv itself?

I have seen several forum posts around with problems getting the pictuer to look right or getting an indication of an unusable signal or the like, but my set just displays "no rgb signal" and nothing else.

If the vga cable and VGA out check out, any advice on how to get this to work, or find out if the tv is damaged ?
