Hi,

I have been looking for a 32" LCD to be used primarily as a computer monitor from a distance of 1.5-2 feet. I had the Sharp LC-32D64U on my watchlist for any price drops when I came across this Vizio VOJ320F1A. It was available (tagged as a new arrival) at Walmart for $497 till two days ago (now out of stock online and in-store). Even with taxes, that is a good $150 less than the lowest price I could find on the Sharp. I can see the specs are not as good as the Sharp (mostly dynamic contrast is 5500:1 against Sharp's 10000:1) but I would appreciate if someone could post first hand experience with this television especially if you are using it as a monitor.

Thanks!!

Also, I see that the pixel pitch on a typical 24" LCD monitor is around 0.26mm against the 0.36mm pixel pitch of a 32" 1080p LCD TV panel. At 1.5-2 feet, how perceptible is this difference?

For whatever it's worth, I ended up pulling the trigger on a Westinghouse L2610NW-SP from amazon (buy.com) for $270 + taxes/shipping. Had a $250 amazon gift card that came in handy.

Im still interested in possibly getting a referb VO32LF to use as a computer monitor. Ive been using my samsung 5265f as my main computer monitor, on the internetz, playing games etc. for a couple weeks now. i just went back to a 20" dell 2005fpw and hate it! i ordered a asus 26" lsd monitor for $360 but am afraid it will not be big enough now that ive been broken off with the 52" lcd monitor. BTW i was sitting 2feet away and the PQ was amazing! im having a hard time getting the colors right on the dell now they look so different and bland white look yellow contrast is way off etc. etc. compaired to the sammy 52". i can get a referb 32 vizio 1080p for $450 shipped or a new for $550-600.

I'm thinking of getting this set myself. I saw it at Walmart for less than 5 bills. Still undecided but it seems like a pretty good deal.
