I just purchased a HAVA Titanium HD and after the cancel deadline, realized that it has no RF input. I get my TV signal off of cable with no converter box, so my only input is RF.

I do not have an HDTV now but am in the market (looking for deals right now). My question is do any HDTV's pass an A/V signal while they are turned off. If so I could just plug the cable into the TV and then run A/V out to the HAVA. I know this should work with the TV on, but I certainly don't want to leave the TV on all day if I am out of town or away from home, but want to catch the local news etc.

I do have a backup plan - I can use an old VCR for the tuner and it should pass the signal - may have to leave it turned on though, but that is not a big deal compared to a TV.

Thanks in advance
