I usually never second guess myself making big purchases. Hell, I didn't second guess my house, my last car I bought, etc.

For some reason, I'm second guessing myself here. I got a great deal on this TV (IMO) for $1899 in my opinion, but two things are eating at me:

1) I could've gotten the 550 for $1299. $600 is a lot of money for the same size TV. Are the features that the 750 offer worth $600 more?

2) With this model coming out a year ago and the B line out now, in a year from now, is my TV going to be completely inferior (i.e a "C" line for example)

no that is a good deal and ALOT more picture... sure it's 600 bucks but your going to have your tv for a long time and a 550 is pretty bottom of the barrel samsung wise. If your strapped for cash then maybe but if not then go with the 750... you get a beautiful picture that is as good as the new B series coming out imo their not any better if they are its to minute to tell.

The 650/750/850 all have a very smooth picture with awesome color and blacks. The 550 is ok black level wise but the color is just not near them and has a more pixelated look than the 6+ series ( since they have that more polly glass screen whatever that helps alot though gives alot more glare )

A750 is great and the only reason you might regret it is when the B750 comes out next month.

The only reason to change is price. If you need the $600 back then that is the only reason. The 750 will have lots more features and a lot better PQ.

As for the B750, well, that is going to list at least $1000 higher than what you spent on your tv.

Do you own a 550? Because I do, and don't have the things you mentioned. Nor is it "bottom of the barrel". You know they did offer a 330 and 450 series right?

IMO, the 550 is (was) the best 1080p tv you could buy at it's price range. My picture is great, smooth, etc etc.

Now, is the 750 tv a better tv? Absolutely. It has a few more big features, looks better, better picture quality, etc etc. Personally, if you're looking for a top of the line TV (not astronomical), stick with the 750. If you're looking for a great-tv-for-the-price, and you need the money, go to a 550.

But lastly, if you already have it sitting in your living room, just keep it. Don't go through the hassle of exchanging it, and now you can brag to your friends about your great expensive tv.

I agree with poster above, 550 and 450 series is in the same group. While 650, 750, 850 & 950 are the higher end group. Previous before i owned a LN46a650, i almost got the 550 series. I have no regrets on getting 650 for my gaming only (previously for movie n tv) but now owning plasma for movie n tv, my preference plasma for movie

LN52A750 for $1899 is a GOOD Deal compare to amazon price
