Coming to a neighborhood, near you in July/August, at 5K.

I'd like to hang this on my wall but my room is Octagon shape + I already have a 60" stand.

My Blu-ray Collection

I don't think anyone here actually owns this model judging by posts here & also looking at the official KDL##W5100 threads.

Or people are just not having issues with theirs.

Time for Blu to go mainstream.

It has a respectfully good looking picure and uses less power than the 52W/Z/XBR9 models.

Does this model really have no RS-232? Is IR the only way to control it? Can it be controlled over ethernet?

2.25 amps on the one I hooked up at max backlight. Nowhere near 430 watts.

I know there is a lengthy discussion about CCFL on this forum but I'd like to ask what is the life span on a tv this size? Or does size not matter.

Everytime I search for this I get different results. 20K hrs & or 60K hrs

Is lamp life really a thing of the past regarding flat pannels. According to Crutchfield it is. (60K hrs on their site) Posted this year.

One of the main reasons I opted for this display which will replace a Sony SXRD 60"

My Blu-ray Collection

Time for Blu to go mainstream.

Nice review here.

Sony KDL-65W5100 LED LCD. Review links 1 through 3 show it as an LED backlight.
