When it comes out and it lives up to all the hype the Samsung UN55B8500 should be the best!

If you can still find one the XBR8 is still the LCD king.

Well if you didn't mind what the bezel looks like on the LG LH90 led lcd, would be a very good choice and is really reasonable for a direct lit led set!

This thread is like who has the best car. I would advise an informed consumer to check cnet ,flatpanel TV, Consumer Reports and other sources of rating TVS as a guide.

The St 50 from panasonic has an excellent review for the price from CNET.

So what TV gives you the best bang for your dollar??.
All brand name TVs are usually very good and some are better than others.
Three leading brands are :
Samsung
Sony
LG

Some people can not stand a Plasma TV while others prefer them so you as a consumer you have to decide what is important to you LED or Plasma .

You have to make an informed decisions based on a variety of paramaters..

Price
3d
Internet conductivity
Sound quality of the TV speakers
Picture quality
Warranty
picture size

I have a Sony 60 inch ex720 while not perfect I find it very good and I am quite happy with it.
There will always be someone with a differing opinion. I have always found shopping for a TV to be a fun activity, it is one of things you enjoy buying as a consumer.
Good luck with your decision.
