That is great advice. Looks like it will be a sony for me. I am really bummed at samsung for their less than stellar low to mid range line up.

Looking at all 2017 brands and models, is there a stand-out mid-range 65" tv for under $2,000?

I paid under $1300 for my brand new 65ks8000 late last winter so that isn't a good price for a refurb anyway imo.

The Sony XBR65X900E and Vizio P65-E1 are the ones to look at.

65KS9800 is $1999 on Amazon right now. Can probably price protect with your credit card to Joes Av or BuyDig for $1500-1600

Wondering if anyone has looked at the new UN82MU8000? Is it WCG? What type of panel? How does it compare to Sony's XBR85X850D?

That is tempting, but I really don't want a curved TV.

Oh! Dang! I just read some reviews of the KS9800 and it might convince me to buy a curved TV, although some of the reviews on Amazon are real downers! Are there any owners of the KS9800 who would like to share their experience?
