Hello, I've been pulling my hair out over this one and can't seem to find an answer. Hope someone can help. I have:

Sony KDL-46XBR2 LCD television
Onkyo TX-SR608 AVR
XBOX 360
Laptop w/ HDMI out

If I connect either my laptop or 360 to the LCD w/ VGA, I am able to display 1920x1080 resolution with no problem.

If I connect my laptop or 360 to the LCD w/ HDMI @ 1080P I get blue "noise."

If I upscale from my AVR @ 1080P I get the same "noise" (attached photo).

If I connect my 360 via HDMI and set it to 1080i - i get no noise.

If I upscale @ 1080i - I get no noise.

I've attempted to use multiple HDMI cables ($10 - $100) and have used multiple HDMI ports on the TV and get the same result.

Does anyone have any clue what would be causing this problem? It's really driving me crazy! If anything, I'd just like to have an answer. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
