I'm planning on buying a TV soon. I live in Japan, and have been looking at TVs in the stores for a while. The problem is it's hard for me to read reviews, and information, since I can't read kanji, and my Japanese isn't that good. Plus, my wife doesn't want to translate it all for me.

Anyway, I will use this TV with a computer extensively. I plan to connect via DVI to HDMI cable. Full high def and 120hz are the must have features, and really these are on pretty much every 37 or 40 inch TV now, at least here. I have these models in my price range. Right now my personal favorites are the Panasonics (great viewing angles and SD card slot) and the Sony. I don't know much about the Toshiba, it just came out recently, but it is the cheapest (the Sony is close in price). I list the Sharps because I know they have English menus. The SE1 has an LED backlight, but they don't look as good as the non-led TVs when I see them at stores. Also, I'm not crazy about their design. I guess I would consider Mitsubishi as well, but I know next to nothing about them.

So if you have any advice or helpful information, please share.
