I bought an LG 42LH55 240hz LCD HDTV not too long ago, but have been confused on
a certain point.
I bought this TV with the intention of using it primarily for gaming, and have
my xbox 360 and ps3 hooked up to it. So, when I started gaming, I turned on
TruMotion, as I though that TruMotion = 240hz, however, with TruMotion turned
on, I get some weird visuals on both sides of the screen when moving around,
and found myself playing with the feature turned off.
Basically, what I'm asking is:
1) Does my TV's 240hz = TruMotion?
2) With TruMotion off, am I playing at 240hz, or has it become lower?
I searched the forums and other sites, but I get different answers. Some say
with TruMotion off, the refresh rate goes down to 60hz, and I also see some
people say the refresh rate never changes.
I'm not looking for in-depth answers, audio/video isn't something I'm very
good at, but I would like a clear definitive answer for the questions.
