http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-E370VL/13904833

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+B...x400&cp=1&lp=1

... my viewing distance is roughly 6.5ft and im stuck between size and overall best. i would spend a little more if theres a tv well worth it but i am trying for around $500-$550. Any help would be appreciated

A bit of a stretch but excellent value for money:

Panasonics have very good pq and reliability and generally less gaming lag than other brands, if that's a concern. Their IPS panels have better off-angle performance, and it's bigger than either of the sets you list.

If number of HDMI inputs does not matter (or the lack of a universal remote), I'd go with the Vizio simply because it is 5" bigger. I happen to have one of these in my bedroom and it's perfect. I seriously doubt you'll be able to tell much of a difference in picture quality between the 2 tvs, so why not get the bigger screen?

Of course, if you plan on hooking up several things to it without going through a receiver, you may want to consider the Bravia, since it has 4 HDMI inputs. I'd say everything else is pretty much a wash.

I would go with the bigger 37'' tv. Yes, the Sony may have slighter better picture quality, but you will have a more enjoyable viewing experience with the larger screen.

Perhaps you should look at both of them and let your eyes decide rather than a bunch of strangers on this Forum. It's nice to get advice from others, but the ultimate decision is yours and yours alone.
