I took a look at the LX900 at Best Buy and noticed it has the same plastic construction on the back as the NX700 that I owned and returned; among other things, the cracking, popping noises caused by the brittle plastic on the back for the first hour of being turned on and off was very annoying. When I got the EX700, that has metal construction on the back, it has no cracking, popping sound issues.
Can anyone who owns the LX900 comment on if they hear the cracking, popping noises with this model? I think the LX900 may be one I consider, especially if I decide I want something as big as a 60".
Plus I've come to realize that the local-dimming back-lit isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be when you factor in the blooming, as I've been very happy with my edge-lit EX700, so this edge-lit LX900 could be looking good.
