Hi, I just bought the Samsung LN40C630 and it is brand new. I've plugged it in and plugged in an antenna into the TV, but for some reason, when I turn on the television, it just plays a little intro sound, the screen then flashes a dark blue for about a second, then the screen goes blank, even though the TV is still on. Why is this happening?? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Brian

After the screen goes blank, hit the menu button and verify that the menu comes up. If that works, try switching inputs with the source button. If you get no menus or any kind of on-screen display, your set is defective.

You should return it rather than try to get it repaired. Why have them open and poke around inside a brand new tv when you can just exchange it for a functioning unit.

Ohhhh because I bought it on eBay... at least the TV is still covered under warranty so the repair service is free. Who knows, they might even replace my TV (hopefully)
