I think the reflection thing depends on your room configuration. I have lots of windows to the side. We have shutters on them. I don't have objectionable reflections with the windows open from my viewing position which is directly on axis. If you sit by the windows with the shutters open, you get no reflections. If you sit off axis opposite the windows you get GIGANTIC reflections. If we have enough people over so that someone sits in the reflection zone, then we close the shutters. If the windows were behind me, the shutters would be closed the whenever I watch TV. I tend to close them most of the time when I'm watching anyway. I appreciate your response! I do hate reflections, and I do obsess
, but I am thinking that I may be able to deal with it as I usually watch in a room with all the lights off. I rarely watch during the day, so that's not an issue.
When a scene goes dark, so you see a reflection of yourself - or room reflections - on the screen?
If possible, would you post pics with the light on, and from the same position, with the light off?
I have it narrowed down to the NX810, and the EX701. The cost difference is not an issue: The picture quality, and reflections are. Ii have not been able to see an 810 in person. Is it the same screen, regarding reflections, as the 800 series?
Just as a reference, I am moving from a 70" SXRD, so I am losing 10 inches, and the SXRD has a matte screen.
