Let me share my saga with you on how determined I became to achieve a better picture.
So, I had this brand new Samsung and a digital camera that did crappy macros. So I ask the members. I got an F, and was told to try again. I used a 200mm Zoom SLR lens laid on a pillow and my camera on a tripod to get a better shot.. posted it all here
..#1779 so scroll.. Still Fail..
Googled 'home made microscope'.. landed on an Instructable
that gave me an idea. Since I did not have a laser pointer to dissect, yet did have plenty of DVD/CD rewritable drives.. I decided to rip out the lens that the laser reads/writes to a blank CD/DVD and fasten it to my cheepo Cell phone.
So if you don't have a old DVD/CD drive but do have a phone book, find your nearest metal/Consumer Electronic recycling center and give them .50 cent for a drive from an old laptop, or tower PC.. they might even have them loose in a box.. My center does. Butt loads of them. Instructions to this are in my Sig now. Macros via Cell
. find it, love it, use it. You'll need a bobby pin.. go to walmart and look on the floor in the cosmetic dept.
Behind the spoiler is a large image I don't want to pollute this post with.
PS. None of you reader need directions on how to tear down a CD ROM player.. Just take all your frustration out on it. Safety glasses and a hammer/foot/rock/sister/wife/boyfriend/brother's head.. JUST DO IT.. Be NIKE
