Considering there isn't to much difference between the 300, 400 and 500 other then the internet@TV, apps and a few technical features. Would the firmware from the 400/500 install successfully on the 300?

Basically what I'm asking is if these sets are that similar why doesn't the 300 come with internet@tv and apps? Is it just a Samsung price point thing?

Would you be able to gain features if a 300 was flashed with 400/500 firmware?

Firmware is tv specific. You should use only the one offered for your tv. Installing other firmware can ruin your tv.

check Samsung website for available firmware updates for your model. It will only install the firmware for you model.
