My KF50WE610's bulb blew out last week, and when the Sony tech checked the TV he said it was dead. But since it had melted lamp access door, it was covered by Sony's extended warranty for that issue. He called Sony and arranged for a replacement.
I get the call today and I was given four options. Here are the 2 that I'm considering:
KDL60EX500 - $750
KDL46EX710 - $425
I asked if there was a 55-inch option, but it was not available for this replacement program. I really wanted a 55-inch since I had a 50-inch before and would rather go up in size. However, I think 60 inches would be too big for the room. Also, the EX710 is an LED-LCD which is newer, although from the thread here it has some flashlighting problems. The EX500 is older, but has a great picture. (We have a 40EX500 which looks fantastic so I can attest to that claim.)
Just looking for advice from you guys here. In the end it's up to me, but I'd want some input. Has anyone gone from 50 to 46? Were you disappointed or not? Or 50 to 60? Was it too big?
