I would agree considering that Samsung debuted a 70" at Trade Shows late summer and fall and that seems more likely than a 75".
I believe the only reason they brought that 75" to CES was to counter their biggest rival in Korea, LG 72" - they go through these battles at every CES. Besides, the price would be beyond the reach of 99% of consumers when you factor in how overpriced their 65" C8000 is and add 10 inches to that mass and it may be at least a $10K MSRP. I'm not saying they couldn't do it because I own a 55" Samsung but it's built like a plastic toy that seems way over priced.
It's easy to be boastful at CES - if we recall 2010 most of the highly touted large LCD TV's got cancelled or delayed until 2011 and we're still waiting on them. Just where would they get this 75" glass - is anyone aware of any manufacturer capable to economically make such cuts? Where? If you cut the glass any other way the price then sky rockets as the waste gets factored in to the MSRP. My bet based upon history of Samsung/LG rivalry is that the 75" was nothing more than to counter LG's 72" at CES. I'll gladly eat crow if proven wrong.
