Well i just saw the 40D550 on sears.com and it does not say it has 120hz. Samsungs 5 series has never had 120hz that i've seen. They usually save that for 6 series and higher.
I think there are alot of sites showing off the wrong specs of some models.

yeah but this means, they changed the design since CES. so D6500 ist much the same than the D7000 (without 200Hz) but better looking stand.
and D7000 have a qwerty-remote.

What design change? I only saw the D8000 shown off a CES. The other models, I only saw pictures of. Were the D6400 and D6500 shown off with a .2 bezel? I doubt they changed anything as they would have only a month to fix or delay the release, neither happened to my knowlodge. It's more than likely the pics are wrong than anything else. Sence retailers are getting the info from the manufacturer I doubt they got it wrong, it's possible just not likely. Internet pics don't count and are mainly speculation unless the manufacturer actually confirms.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. My current TV is a Samsung LN-S4095D (Purchased around 05/06)... It has treated me well and I could probably get another year or two with it, but the UN55D7000 just seems to be calling my name. I went to take a peek at the 2010 55" Samsung at Best Buy and was totally blown away. As soon as the 2011's pop up on Amazon, I'm jumping all over it.

Personally I wait a number of years and buy the best I can afford. My last TV was a 40" Sony Bravia 1 in 2005 and I am very much due for an upgrade.

At CES the D7000 and D8000 had the same 0.2 inch thin bezel. the D6400 should have just a 20% smaller bezel than C6700.

They probably will not have a 32" model in the 6 series...they didnt last year did they??

I dont know why I am stressing so much on the purchase of a new set. It's just a bedroom TV for heaven's sake!!

You should've labeled those at least.

D6300
D7000
??????
D6000

The third one is not available, is it the D8000?? That's the one I wanted to look at.

There's a video on the net showing off the D8000 from CES. That's how I first saw it and got me interested in getting it. It does have the .2 bezel.

As far as I can tell there's mixed reviews about the bezel below the D8000 on the net. Some sites show the D7000 as being .5 and others show the D6400 having the same bezel but another site shows the D6400 and D6500 as having .3 bezels. Which I would assume then that the D7000 would likely be .2 not .5. I hate it when all these sites just speculate.

It's been said already. The D8000s are scheduled for release in April but orders should take place in late March.

Looks like 6000 gets you.

6000: 120 hz Edge Lit
6300: 3D
6400: Ultra-slim bezel Local Dimming wifi
6500: Ultra-slim bezel One Design
7000: 240 hz + micro-dimming
8000: micro dimming

I'm looking at different doc type for the 6400 so I'm not sure what it's exact diffs are. One review said the 6400 has a .2" bezel. The pdf's for the 6500,7000 say .5".

Untill we get Samsung to confirm, everything is just speculation. Even the product page the felsi has could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened with Samsung.

On Wednesday Feb 23rd there will be Samsung press conference concerning the launch of 2011 models in EUrope. FlatpanelsHD encourages: If you have questions about Samsung's new 2011 TVs, please use the comment form at the bottom. FlatpanelsHD will try to have them answered by Samsung.

Exact launch dates and prices will be most likely available only for EUrope but technical questions should be answerable.

Ditto!

Nice to see they put the DLNA features in the 7000, I dont see how this wouldn't be included on the 8000 as well.

Assuming the above specs are correct or even the CES specs from the 6400 are correct, even the 6400 looks extremely attractive.

Can anyone confirm if there's reason to pay up for 240hz other than spec glitter ?

Those of you who are looking North of the 6400, what are the main reasons ?

Why we don´t know the D8000 specs.? Strange no? If we can see all the models except the 8000 series?
