As for bluetooth in a headsets, I found articles for and against. The harshest one trying to peddle their product. Most people don't even know how much radiation exposure the get enjoying a nice sunny day, like all those wise Europeans do with their long healthy walks. I will wait until the medical physicist gets back to my office to get radiation safety advice.

Have to go for now, I got to put some lead lining in my roof. :-)

Don't even pretend to act sarcastic. Considering your from texas, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't already have a roof made of a rare and almost extinct animal.

With the bluetooth headsets though, my question is about them going to sleep or some kind of stand by mode. For instance with a blue tooth mouse, if it hasn't moved in a while it goes to sleep, and takes a sec. or so to wake up when you first move it again. I have a bluetooth remote for my PS3, and it takes a sec to do something on the PS3 if you haven't hit a button in a while.

I know that European people seems to be more concernd about electronic smog and environment protection than the most American households, so I expected such an answer...

I would say only one big tribe of European people located in the heart of EUrope is fanatic about the 'electronic' smog. Others are not even taken by the demagogy of 'smog' concept: radiation levels are so low that there is nothing to be concerned about.

I doubt that´s the right way to make 3D more comfortable too watch and you´re right, to be successful 3D must be more comfortable too watch. LG´s FPR technology seems to be the better solution for healthier 3D.

Saying that Bluetooth is unhealthy is nonsense since radiation levels are really low.

The idea of using Bluetooth in 3D glasses is excellent. IR has a problem that it is prone to losing signal, you can't turn your head even for a moment, if the line of sight is broken glasses are desynchronised. Nothing like that happens with Bluetooth.

What about the Samsung bezel is actually .2"? I know it looks very small, but from the outside edge of the visible screen to the outside edge of the bezel frame, it certainly looks larger than .2". Are they only counting part of the overall bezel on the d7000 and d8000 when they give these numbers?

Can anyone confirm that the old 3d Glasses from the 2010 C8000's will not work with the 2011 D8000 TV's? I have 4 pairs of 2010 glasses now and would hate to have to buy all new ones again. Or maybe 2 pairs will be bundled with the new TV's? I already have two Samsung 3D BD Players.

Yes that's correct, last years glasses are infra red and this years are Bluetooth. So last years glasses will not work with the 2011 models. Sorry

There was a memo sent out to companies from Samsung stating that they will be cutting back on 3D tv inventory for 2011. That doesn't mean 3D tvs won't be made but Samsung said they been listening to their customers and most customers felt 3D needs to be glasses free. Basically this just means stores will get allocated for a certain amount of tvs. Also some stores may not display all the models. Example, a store may have different sizes but only display one and either the others are in stock or you just order them. Every store/company will be different.

All anyone can confirm is what Samsung already said and what review sites have said. No one has actually tested it(customer wise) if that's what your asking. The 3D algorithym has changed along with the glasses.

Is this a tactic for them to charge premium prices for these TVs by limiting supply to a certain dealers? All Samsung high end models seem to have 3D

Don't know, maybe. I've never known Samsung to price models high for any feature. 3D is a new technology that's why some get priced higher than others but it's not just cause of 3D though, other features help set the price. All models from D6400 and up have 3D. I guess there going to limit/allocate the 2011 models. Maybe there just simply not going to flood the market like they did last year. As I've always stated, 3D is just like any other feature, you may or may not want it. The biggest thing this year for just about all manufacturers is built in wifi and web browser support.

From what i've been told, Samsung might not offer the bundle deals as much as last year or if at all. Although there is a new bundle from Samsung, it may just be for purchase and not for any promotions. Whatever happens, things will be different in 2011 than 2010.

I was hoping they would be different in the form of prices going down, but we will see how that goes. I could really care less about bundles, I am just going to buy a display. I already have a blu ray player, I dont care about 3D, and I dont want to have to pay for anything else I dont want.

Just for Europa:

http://www.dday.it/redazione/3013/I-...-dettagli.html

Some facts:

D6500: 400Hz, 3D, Wifi, PVR, reduced Smart TV-functions, 12mm-bezel, no micro or local dimming, up to 46"

D7000: 800Hz, 3D, Wifi, PVR, Smart TV, micro dimming, awesome 5mm black/glas-bezel, up to 55", glasses integrated

D8000: exactly the same as the D7000 but other bezel-color and maybe extra glasses

This is complete BS Samsung sold 2 million 3d TVs last year and released as statement saying they expect to sell 10 million 3d TVs this year. That doesn't sound like cutting back to me.

Oh my bad, you wrote that the D7000 has the 5mm bezel, which is 0.2". I had read everywhere that D7000 is actually 0.5" bezel.

In that case, what's the point of the D8000 then? I wonder if this will be different for the NA market.

I think the D8000 has micro-dimming+, compared to the D7000's micro-dimming.

I heard the 2011 Samsung TV will include one pair of glasses with the TV. Then they will sell several optional items. One is supposed to be 3 more pairs of glasses and a wireless charging stand. Can any one comment?

I've just read on the Whathifi (UK) site that the D7000 and D8000 are the same TV with a few design differences. No difference in performance.

FullHD.gr has info that D95xx will come with the same 7.9 mm thickness that C9xxx, and 5 mm bezel that D7/8xxx.
